Men's Vice President position to be appointed
On March 14, 2006, Darren Tsumura submitted his resignation as Men's Vice
President of the Sacramento Nisei Bowling Association.
To fill the vacancy in the office of Men's Vice President, the vacancy was announced at
all SNBA leagues, and a request for nominations was issued. A special election to
fill this vacancy was to be held at the April 20 SNBA General Meeting, but no
nominees were submitted.
To fill the vacant office, the Executive Board of SNBA will convene as a group to
discuss potential candidates and appoint the position.
The SNBA encourages each of its members to participate in the leadership of the
organization, and extends an invitation to assume the office of Men's Vice President!
This position is open to any SNBA member, male or female.

to order at 7:00 PM.
The SNBA thanks Darren for his commitment and dedication to the SNBA. Most
recently, Darren served as Men's Tournament Director of the JANBA 2006
tournament, alongside Tracy Green (Women's Tournament Director).

organization, and extends an invitation to run for the office of Men's Vice President.

Stephen Kashiwada appointed Treasurer
At the December 8, 2005 SNBA General Meeting, June
Tsumura submitted her resignation as Treasurer of the
Sacramento Nisei Bowling Association, due to personal
circumstances.
To fill the vacancy in the office of Treasurer, the vacancy was
announced at all SNBA leagues, and a request for
nominations was issued. A due date of December 30 was
established for submitting nominees.

Stephen has graciously agreed to serve as Treasurer for the remainder of the term of
office, which ends in June 2007.
The SNBA thanks Stephen for his commitment of time and energy in filling this very
important office.

2005 SNBA/JACL Scholarship awarded to Ashley Satow
This year's JACL Scholarship luncheon was held on May 21, 2005 at the Radisson
Hotel in Sacramento. The purpose of the luncheon was to honor deserving
graduating high school seniors who have been awarded a 2005 JACL Scholarship.
The SNBA was proud to award this year's scholarship to Ashley Satow, 2005
graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. Ashley, daughter of Stuart and Emily
Satow, was presented with the $1000.00 SNBA Scholarship by SNBA member Stacy
Hirakawa-Matsunami, who represented the SNBA at the luncheon.
The SNBA congratulates Ashley and her parents on her wonderful high school career,
and wishes her the best in her collegiate and professional careers!
